Charlie Falls Off the Wagon!; SOW Article Summary
http://daytimeroyalt...opic/8224566/1/

Despite his attempts at staying sober following Jared’s death, Charlie is pushed over the edge this week after his son’s funeral, and he finally turns to the bottle.

“It’s at Jared’s grave,” explains Brian Kerwin (Charlie). “It’s horrible, because he truly has no place to go. There’s no way he can deal with what he’s dealing with – particularly the fact that Mitch is walking around being a smart son of a bitch and thinks it’s all just a joke. So that’s what really drives him over [the edge].”

But, for Kerwin, the more difficult Charlie’s life becomes, the better. “What’s really interesting in life is seeing how a person deals with failure, and this is what hits Charlie right in the face,” Kerwin observes. “He had been clean and sober. He had turned his life around, and now here we go: back down. So it has been great fun for me and everybody else involved in it.”

But there are two people it won’t be much fun for: Charlie and Viki.

Ross Kidnaps Blair and Danielle!; SOD/SOW Article Summaries

This week, Todd and Téa are forced to put aside their differences over the secrets and lies coming between them, when Ross, still in denial about Danielle being Todd's daughter and not his, takes Blair and Danielle hostage and takes off for the Canadian border. Todd and Téa are still in police custody, so they are unable to prevent the kidnapping.

How does Blair get caught in the crossfire? "[She] gets a call from Todd's lawyer saying that he's in jail out in Seattle, so she goes there to help him," Kassie DePaiva (Blair) explains of how her character ends up getting caught up in all of this. "While she's in the parking garage, she runs into Ross, and he's got Danielle with him, so this is the first time that she has seen Danielle. And she's going, 'Oh, you must be Dani.'"

Blair quickly realizes that something's amiss and she tries to get Danielle to leave with her, when Ross pulls out a gun. "Ross is wigging out and grabs Blair and her rental car and is trying to make a quick get-away," DePaiva previews. "[Blair is] definitely afraid of Ross, but she's also trying to be very rational because Dani's there and she doesn't want to scare her. And Blair also doesn't want to set Ross off by saying, 'She's not even your daughter.' Even Dani doesn't really believe that, so there are some emotional issues at play. Blair has to be very careful so that Dani doesn't flip out and Ross doesn't flip out and Blair doesn't die."

When Ross ditches the rental car for the car belonging to a stranger that he has knocked out, Blair thinks on her feet and grabs the GPS device to take with them. Just as Bo and the Seattle police manage to get a lead on their whereabouts, a livid Ross discovers the electronic device.

Meanwhile, as for Todd and Téa, Téa's portrayer, Florencia Lozano, says, "There is a lot of unresolved conflict, but the writers have made it so regardless of all the water under the bridge - and it still very much has to be dealt with - someone comes into their lives who is more important than all of that: Danielle. And Todd and Téa bond looking for her."

"There's so much regret that Téa feels about everything that has happened. It's all so tragic," Lozano sighs. "Ross really was Danielle's father, is her father and he was there [for her]. But Todd is her biological dad, and Ross was also violent. Téa wanted Dani to get away from him. It's such a mess. Téa really feels she messed up as a wife, a mother and a friend."

This time, however, it is Ross who has messed up, and even though Bo is able to track down the missing Mr. Rayburn, the showdown that follows could be a lose-lose situation for Téa, any way you break it down. "Every death that could occur, she will feel on her head," Lozano ominously previews. "It's such a violent, ugly thing and she feels directly responsible for it."

SOW: A Closer Look - Clint
http://daytimeroyalt...opic/8225871/1/

This week, Clint is finally clued in to his brother and wife’s clandestine love affair. Jerry verDorn (Clint) chats about Clint’s reaction – as well as Clint turning to Kim!

SOW: So who tells him the truth?
JvD: Nigel. He does it out of the category of, “There’s something you should know.” Since he’s almost like a family member anyway, I think he feels that someone should know the truth because, “You’re going to find out sooner or later.”

SOW: It’s about time! Does Clint feel like an idiot?
JvD: He’s not being stupid. He thinks he has been doing everything possible to help out with the Matthew situation and trying to be the understanding guy, [thinking], “Well, they are the parents.” But he’s in a terrible position. He has given them the corporate jet, has been doing this and that and the other thing and encouraging them both, so you know, once he finds out, it’s a pretty big piece of betrayal.

SOW: So does he pull out the shotgun?
JvD: Not yet (laughs)! And they’re (Nora, Bo, et al) having the big showdown on the bridge and they’re doing the Matthew stuff and then they come home and it’s not good.

SOW: Does Clint start thinking back to everything that has happened and see the pieces fall into place?
JvD: That’s one of the things that really does happen when something like this occurs: You think back and go, “Oh, my God. What a moron. What an idiot. I walked past this. I walked past that.” That just fuels the anger. Unfortunately, he reverts to behaving like Asa.

SOW: And what are the implications of that?
JvD: It’s not good for the family. But this is why it’s such a good story. Viki finds out about [the affair]. It has repercussions and ripples that go through the daughters and everybody he knows through the business, so it’s just great soap.

SOW: Well, at least Clint is going to have some interaction with Kim. That might soften the blow of what Nora and Bo have done to him.
JvD: We’ve had a lot of scenes. It’s very good because, once again, they don’t make Clint an idiot being duped by her. He’s fully understanding of who she is, what she is, what she wants and that she’s gold-digging. He says, “That’s fine. But help me.” He hires her [at Buchanan Enterprises], too.

SOW: Good! Clint deserves a little fun.
JvD: And it turns out that she’s really this little scared thing underneath all this bravado that she’s got going on. She makes him laugh and they have some fun together.

SOW: Will people in Llanview be gossiping about Clint and Kim’s connection?
JvD: Oh, yes. “What are you doing? You could be her grandfather”; that kind of thing. And they talk about that, too. He eventually tells her, “You know, I could be your father. I’ve got boots older than you, dear.” So they have fun with that. Actually, it’s a very, in a way, naughty relationship – in terms of what he asks her to do to Nora – and then it’s a rather sweet relationship. He tries to help her straighten out a few things with her life.

SNEAK PEEK – WEEK OF DECEMBER 7

Blair's seriously got the worst timing ever. She flies all the way to Seattle to try to support Todd in his "Wow, I have a teenage daughter with Tea that I never knew about" drama and walks right into the middle of ... Ross kidnapping said daughter, Danielle. Of course, Blair ends up getting kidnapped herself -- and soon Tea, Todd, Bo, and Nora are on the hunt for the two abducted ladies. We've seen Ross is dangerous, and when he gets cornered by the foursome ... well, let's just say that Blair's bad luck streak might continue.

Natalie just canNOT deal with the idea of Mitch Laurence walking around free. When she learns that there's no possibility of jail time in his future, she proceeds to ... stab him. Yep, a letter-opener right to the gut. Mitch doesn't die (are you kidding? He just came back and has way too much havoc to wreak!) -- but poor Natalie's in a pretty sticky situation. Look for John to step up and play hero. But with the leverage Mitch has ("Natalie tried to kill me!"), how are John and Natalie going to get out of this one?

Kim, who we all know is a force for good in the universe, overhears Nevil and Nigel discussing Nora and Bo's affair. Seeing a clear shot to Clint's wallet, Kim decides it's really important that he knows this information. But rather than risk killing the messenger, she wants someone else to deliver the news: Nigel. Kinda sorta. You'll see.

Don't miss Monday, when the All-American Rejects give another performance!

All this, PLUS: Rex and Gigi's relationship reaches critical mass; Stacy decides she wants to meet Mitch (bad idea, lady); Cristian and Layla have sex; and Charlie just can't quit drinking.

SOAPnet December Preview
http://sn.soapnet.go...ecember-preview

We don't mean to harsh your pre-holiday buzz here, but December in Llanview is fixing to be awash in tinsel, snow, and Mitch Laurence. Mitch may start the month in jail, but that doesn't stop him from terrorizing almost everyone in town. He really kicks things into high gear at Jared's funeral, where he will do something so heinous we can't even talk about it. But we can tell you that it drives both Natalie and Charlie even closer to the edge than they already were. Charlie falls off the wagon and starts drinking again. He's going to try to keep it a secret from Viki, but other people do find out. Will they spill the beans? And will Charlie's newfound drunken state lead him to take foolish chances in trying to avenge Jared's death? Take a wild guess.

As for Natalie, she's in the throes of some serious grief, and it leads her to a few pretty extreme actions. One moment in particular will seriously throw things into chaos, so don't miss it. This lady is not a fiery redhead without reason folks, and her actions prove it. Natalie better be thanking her lucky stars for John McBain. But in his quest to take down Mitch and help Natalie, John may be digging his own grave.

But Mitch's campaign of terror isn't just limited to Natalie and Charlie. Rex and Jessica will attempt to fight back against their familial bond with Mitch -- what does it mean to be that man's children? Also, it won't be long before Mitch is going to cross paths with Dorian (his ex-wife -- remember that?). First of all, you need to see the circumstances that lead to them sharing a jail cell (!). But before long, Mitch starts making threats against the entire Cramer family. To what lengths will Dorian have to go to keep her girls safe?

Meanwhile, Mitch's newly revealed son, Rex, will have more problems than simply his lunatic of a father. It's getting harder and harder to deny that Gigi and Schuyler have some serious feelings for each other. Even Rex can see it now. Look for him and Gigi to come to a crossroads in their relationship and answer the question: can they stay together? Should they?

The situation with Tea and her daughter Danielle gets way more complicated this month. And dangerous. While Tea tries to juggle her options -- should she tell Danielle who her real father is? -- she has to deal with an increasingly unhinged Ross. To what lengths will he go to hold onto "his" daughter? Some serious lengths ... as in, he kidnaps her. We can tell you this: Everything will play itself out before the new year. Danielle will hear the truth of who her father is. It's what happens after it's all revealed that gets really eye-opening.

And while we're on the subject of secrets coming to light, can we talk about Bo and Nora and Clint? You can't expect Bo and Nora to keep their burning, passionate love in the dark forever. It's not so much that Clint finds out -- or even how he finds out (although seriously, it's quite the complicated ordeal!) -- but what he does after the fact. It's pretty intense and it happens this month! And don't forget about Kim, our favorite stripper/life coach, and her quest to land Clint. That scheme kicks into full force this month as well.

Kyle and Fish's brand-new relationship is put to the test when an anti-gay attack hits very close to home. And what happens when Kyle's ex Nick ends up back in the picture? Things get complicated quick.

All this, PLUS: Cristian and Layla take a big step in their relationship; we find out something pretty surprising about Madame Delphina; and rock group the All-American Rejects performs on December 4th and 7th.
